Senior Software Engineer Generalists (2)

You’ll work with our Creative Director and Product Manager to prototype new interactions that help blur the line between live concert / video game / rave and engage fans in new ways. Sprint over sprint, you’ll execute rapid prototypes while working within constraints to answer certain design questions, then test them during live shows. We’ll also need you to be comfortable hacking together new hardware prototypes relating to motion capture, face tracking, and midi controllers. Once you “find the fun”, you’ll work with our platform team to codify the prototypes into cleanly implemented and bug test features, ready for mainstream deployment. Literally a dream job! (LA Only)

R&D Software Engineer


Wave is hiring an excellent software engineer who will help drive manual and automated testing of our full stack of virtual experience products. You're a talented engineer who knows how to combine requirement specifications and develop automated tests in C++ and C# to ensure a quality product. You are also able to dive into our products to hunt, identify, and report issues. (Austin Only)

Job Requirements:

Software Engineer in Test


3D Generalist

You’ll collaborate with some of the biggest artists in the world on the content for their virtual concerts. You'll spend your days modeling, texturing, UV mapping 3D assets for these shows- everything from character models, to luminous, interstellar terrain to virtual champagne bottles. You're also comfortable occasionally diving into shaders, effects, and making sure it's all optimized and running like butter.


Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years 3D modeling/texturing in AAA games

  • Strong character and environment portfolio

  • UV mapping god or goddess

Senior Technical Artist (Character)


Character Artist

You will spend every day creating 3D models of artists like T-Pain, Lindsey Stirling, and more. You’ll work with our Art Director to define the look of each performer and iterate towards a polished result by showtime. You’ll also work with our product team to help define the toolsets and features you need to create high quality musician avatars efficiently.


Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in character modeling

  • Experience in gaming, preferably AAA

  • Unity or Unreal experience

Digital Artist

You’ll work with our Art Director and Content Producer to create assets and effects for, and author Wave live shows. Each show will require a specific look and combination of new and old assets, effects etc. You’ll shepherd each show through concept to launch while working with our Head of Product and platform team to help inform tool development and process improvements.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in a digital art role using real-time game engines like Unity or Unreal

  • Expertise in 3D modeling, real-time effects, light mapping, texturing and lighting

  • Experience with AAA games

Social Media Manager (Part-time)

You’ll help us run Wave’s global social media strategy by developing a consistent brand voice across multiple platforms, creating and curating content with in-game screenshots, GIFs, and videos, fostering engagement on socials, and help engage audiences in novel ways. You’ll work with our Head of Content and Marketing on maintaining a content publishing calendar with a consistent cadence and creating biweekly reports with key metrics and actionable insights. You’ll be working closely with our community to support and grow our creator influence, with Product to help market new releases, and with Content to support tentpole events. (LA only)


Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in social media management

  • Experience in gaming, preferably AAA

  • Excellent writing skills and aptitude for creative solutions

  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Premiere for creating social content and video
